Our Spring Break

We kicked off Spring Break with Ashlynn's friends birthday party after school on Friday. It was fun with an activity treasure hunt, pinata and cupcake cones! This is the first time having these girls over and I am so glad Ashlynn has chosen some great friends at school and we have good neighbors, too.

Saturday was a very special day with Ashlynn's baptism! We had wonderful family support with about 30 family members there. The Homer cousins came and Matthew, Tanner, and the Merrells that live here close. We had aunts and uncles and both sets of grandparents.
Thank you!

Tuesday and Wednesday we visited Grandma and Grandpa Jones, stayed over at Suzette's, did a temple session, visited Nathan and Bonnie and visited Grandpa and Grandma Hall. Grandma Hall made these adorable bunny cakes with the girls!

Our good friends the Scotts came Friday and we did an Easter Egg hunt. My friend had the great idea to put puzzle pieces into the eggs as well and the kids put them together at the end. We had a couple missing pieces, so they got to go out and look for the missing eggs :)

Our baby chicks aren't babies anymore. They are sure getting big and we have moved them out to the garage. As soon as the coop is done, they will have a new home. Taylor almost has the roof finished.

Taylor's nursing home had an Easter Party. Here are the kids ready to go hunt in the courtyard. These lucky kids have had their share of candy. We watched three of the four sessions of conference and that made for a super weekend.

I am sad some that the break is over. Now back to waking up at 6 am to help Alana catch her early bus. It will be good to be more on a schedule and get back on the treadmill routine.
I just heard that my friend had a miscarriage. That sure puts things into perspective.
Well, hope your break and Easter were fun, too :)

That sounds like a busy and fun break! I'm glad you posted pictures of the bunny cakes--Mom mentioned them but I had no idea what she was talking about :) Looks like Alana cut her hair short over the break too! Your kids are as cute as ever.
